As much fun as it is to sit on the couch binge watching Netflix with a bag of chips its important to also get our bodies movin' and groovin'. I've been enjoying going for a daily walk, run, and even just sitting outside breathing in some fresh air at least once a day. But sometimes, due to the weather or maybe where you live, that's not always possible. It's hard to find the motivation to exercise at home on your own, so we thought we'd share some of our tips as well as some great online resources and programs you can use!

Tips:

  1. Try to plan a time every day to workout, do yoga, stretch or even meditate. Schedules are helpful to plan what you want to do and when!

  2. Put on a cute workout outfit. you know what they say...look good, feel good!

  3. Find a good spot in your house and designate it as your workout area. Consistency is the key to success... (it will really just help get you in the right mindset).

  4. Find a family member or Zoom/FaceTime a friend to workout with you! Its so much easier to motivate yourself if you are not alone.

  5. Try to workout or stretch before sitting down to study or work. Breaking a sweat or raising your heart rate will help increase productivity and boost endorphins! (You'll feel extra fresh and ready to work after a shower as well!)

  6. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Even if you aren't breaking a sweat everyday, staying hydrated will keep you and your body feeling healthier and happier.

Online Workouts (not sponsored, just good):

  • Looking for free trials? Try CorePower or Peloton.

  • Want to break a serious sweat? Check out @Barrys Instagram Live stories for some strength and cardio interval workouts.

  • Need to stretch? Feeling overwhelmed? Try one of Lululemon's yoga sessions on youtube

  • Short on time and looking for a good burn? Try one (or more) of Bailey Brown's pilates inspired workouts!

  • More of an entertainer? Learn a new Tik Tok dance, choreograph one yourself, or check out Steezy's online dance classes.

Remember that dedicating even just 15 minutes or more a day to get up of your couch, bed, or chair will boost your productivity, happiness, and health! There are endless workout's online right now and realistically plenty of time, but if you are lacking some motivation, click here. Let us know your thoughts or questions in the comments below!
